Discover Bremen along the Weser cycle path
Bremen is the pulsating heart of northwest Germany and the hometown of the world-famous Bremen Town Musicians. A large city with many facets - history, tradition, high tech, science and space travel combine to create an innovative overall picture: from the Weser promenade Schlachte to the fascination of space travel with the Columbus module of the International Space Station ISS to unique projects such as the Universum Bremen. Unmistakable landmarks remain the magnificent town hall in the Weser Renaissance style and the venerable figure of Roland on the historic market square (UNESCO World Heritage), the Schnoor - Bremen's oldest district, the unusual architecture of the traditional Böttcherstrasse or the Bremen Cathedral. And of course there are the world-famous Bremen Town Musicians from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale.
Let your soul dangle
The Weser promenade invites you to take a stroll along the Weser in the middle of the city center. Here it's all about feasting on international gastronomy, looking at ships, strolling - in short: letting your mind wander. There is also a lot to discover outside of the city center: from the end of April to the beginning of June, over 1.600 different varieties and species of rhododendrons and azaleas bloom in the Rhododendron Park, unique on the European continent.
